The risk is mistaking easier tagging for better measurement.

What Actually Changed

Second, optimized containers can send data directly to Google destinations without loading additional gtag.js JavaScript, which Google says reduces measurement latency. The Measurement Gap This Doesn't Close

Easier tagging inside Google's stack benefits Google Ads and GA4 signal quality. Full stop. It doesn't improve your LinkedIn attribution or reconcile Meta CAPI data with your CRM. Cross-channel measurement remains a separate discipline, and this update doesn't change that.

For B2B SaaS teams, the real constraint was never tag deployment speed. It was conversion definition.
